Experience highlights from the past two years of Link Music Lab’s Experimental Link Series that consistently creates space for new connections by inviting musicians from the Persian diaspora to collaborate and perform in genre-bending configurations with local and international artists. These listening room concerts are now available for streaming on Bandcamp with a vinyl edition of Trio Andalibi featuring the exceptional Iranian nay player, Shaho Andalibi, with Toronto-based pianist Chris Pruden and bassist Scott Peterson. Who: Eleven local and international artists will be reunited to perform solo sets and collaborations. Celebrate ideas and textures with Kimia Koochakzadeh-Yazdi (electronics), Niloufar Shiri (kamancheh), Matti Pulkki (accordion), Scott Peterson (upright bass), Caleb Klager (live PA) and Persian Alchemy featuring Neda Mohamadpour (vocals), Isa Farah (cello) and Mehdi Rostami (setar). Neonlicheter and Mahan will bookend the night with DJ sets to keep vibes high and Hamid Malek will create projection mapping.
