Link Music Lab, Toronto’s premiere presenter of contemporary Persian music, will explore connections between identity, culture and musical creation with a new series: Experimental Link Music Nights. The first installation is with the astounding vocalist Aida Shahghasemi. In this first event Aida brings members of her own band to collaborate with Toronto's musicians to create something unique. The goal of these sessions is to create magic that is special to Toronto. Come see Aida for a one time unique performance in the first installation of Experimental Link Music's Nights.
Taking place at Smallworld Music Centre, the series will contemplate the contemporary Persian-Canadian experience through music by reinvigorating, re-exploring and re-imagining Persian classical/traditional/folk music for the contemporary Toronto experience.
